Cover Reveal: Wreck You by Abby McCarthy

Excerpt One

“Oh no, you didn't!”  I say, smearing mud on the side of his face.

“I did!”  His voice is deep and it is anything but playful. It's filled with heat and desire.

I am secretly reveling in the fact that even though I’m covered in mud he finds me sexy.  He is laying on top of me and I can feel his hard body pressed against mine.

“Hi.”  I say as I bite the bottom of my lip, slowly dragging my teeth over the front.

“Hi.”   A smile and a softness in his eyes welcome me as his lips descend again.  His tongue circles mine and a warmth spreads through my body, clearly leaving a blush on my cheeks.

The kiss deepens and I bring my hand up to the back of his head.  Mud covers his hair, thick gobs fall onto my face and we kiss even harder.  I attempt to lift my knees and part my legs even though the heavy mud is making it difficult.  I press my body into him as much as I can, moaning into the kiss because the pleasure from just the kiss alone is enough to send me over the edge. He slows the kiss and pulls away.

“Woman, the things you do to me.”

“Me? You know how turned on you have me?”

“I want nothing more than to take you.  You got me so fucking worked up watching you have fun all day like this and then here in the mud. But I’m not taking you for the first time knee deep in the mud.”

Okay, I guess I see his point there.

“When I take you, and I will take you, it’s going to be in a bed, where I can worship you.”  He kisses my ear.  “Taste you.” His hand caresses my breast.  “And claim every inch of that sweet pussy.”

excerpt 2

Finally, after several moments of silence, Corbin lifts my tear-drenched face upwards so that I am looking at his icy blues.

"I’m not sure if I can forgive you.  I want to.  I want what we had back so bad. I just don’t know if I can trust you.”  His voice has softened and I feel a small amount of hope, that he at least wants to forgive me.

“I’d do anything for you to trust me again.  I’ll prove to you….”

He cuts me off as I am pleading, “I have to leave, the phone call I was on was my superior.”

He pulls away from our embrace and I try to cling to him again, feeling like he is leaving for good.

“Will you call me?” My lip quivers as I ask the question.

“I don’t know.”

He heads for the door to leave and I instinctively follow him.  He walks outside to the Navigator and I throw my arms around his neck before he gets in.

“Please tell me this isn't goodbye?”

He doesn't answer my question.  He pulls me in closer to him.  I breathe him in, wanting to capture every part of this moment with him in case it’s my last.

AUTHOR BIO

I am a reader and a lover of words. I am a blogger turned author releasing my first novel in May 2014. I am a mother of three, a wife and a dog person. I have always wrote, sometimes poetry, sometimes just to vent about failed relationships, however in parenthood I have found my voice to help keep my sanity. Words have flowed from me, to review and with the support of amazing friends in the Indie community I have decided to pursue my dream of writing! I love to write and read romance, because isn't that something we all yearn for? Weather it be flowers and hand holding or just the right tug on your hair. Isn't that what life is about? The human connection?
