My Thoughts:
If you like books with plenty of drama and teenage angst, look no further than Manhattan because Kandi Steiner delivers. And what's more angsty than unrequited teenage love? That's where Kylie finds herself in the beginning of the book. She is head over heels for her best friend, Michael - and he doesn't have a clue. No, while she pined for him, he fell in love with someone else and she had to literally stand by and watch it happen. But when that girl left Michael to chase her own dreams in Nashville, it was Kylie who picked up the pieces and showed Michael that there was life after Bailey and another chance at love for him. It's kind of a slow-burn situation and there were many times I just wanted to grab him and give him a good shake and scream, "Can't you see she loves you?" But there were also times when I wanted to do the same to Kylie, screaming, "Just tell him already!" The back and forth got frustrating after a while, but I promise, in the end, it's worth it.
