Although I really enjoyed this book and its predecessors, there was something about it (and them) that kept it from being a five-star read for me, and that was the way the characters described their emotional turmoil. It was always in very dramatic terms, a little over-done, and all of them sounded the same way when they spoke about how they felt. Luckily, this was a little annoyance and didn't ruin my overall enjoyment of the book(s). After reading Dean and Roman's stories, I was really looking forward to Miles's and it didn't disappoint. I will not give anything away because I think it's better to read for yourself, but let's just say - damn, no wonder the guy drank so much. One thing about the guys of Trained in Black, they've all had their fair share of hard times and tragedy - maybe some more so than others - and they all have their breaking points. If you've read the entire series, like me, you'll know that Miles broke - spectacularly - in Where There's Smoke, Dean's story. But he was fortunate enough that he did it within the company of his friends and they were there to catch him and convince him to finally get the help he needed to survive. Well, All This Time is the story of that fight for survival. And what is a good story without a romance element? Enter Julia Nulty, a woman with her own demons to bear. She is the perfect match for Miles and strangely, he is for her as well. Their love story is a beautiful thing to watch unfold and I enjoyed reading it. All I can say now is, bring on Brock!
