My Thoughts:

At first, this might seem like a spoiled little princess story where the pissed off daughter just wants to get her own way, but it quickly becomes so much more. It has a Rapunzel feel to it with the whole princess locked in an ivory tower theme, but almost right from the start, this princess shows that she refuses to get tangled up in her father's machinations anymore. Hence, her strive for independence when she discovers a very big secret he's been keeping from her: her sisters. Her whole life, Juliette didn't even know she had any, so the discovery that she did was a shocking one, as was the betrayal from her father. This leads her on a quest to meet her sisters and in so doing, she not only forges a life of independence away from her father and his manipulations, she meets the love of her life. Of course this is a Carly Phillips book, so the road to happily ever after is pitted with obstacles. But Juliette and Braden are determined to get theirs. And let me just say, it's a heck of a sweet, sensual ride! These two are just made for each other and you can see it almost from the first meeting - and oh, is that meeting a fun one! I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from this series.
