Book Spotlight and Giveaway: Shadow Town by Robyn Jones

Top 10 Authors I’d follow around if they let me

10. Kim Harrison (I’m way behind on her books, but she’s hilarious)
9.   Sue Grafton (I’d bring my mom and hang back while the ladies chat)
8.   Stephen King (because my self-esteem could use a beating, no really, I think he’d be the chattiest guy ever)
7.   Craig Johnson (he writes the western mystery series Longmire and I just love him)
6.   Nalini Singh (lives in New Zealand, creates amazing worlds, smiles like she’s the kindest person)
5.   Simone Elkeles (she started promoting books with book trailers and fan videos before most other YA authors)
4.   Katie McGarry (I can’t get enough of her books)
3.   Amelia Atwater Rhodes (she started writing when she was just a kid)
2.   team Ilona Andrews (Kate Daniels...no more words needed)
1.   Patricia Briggs (because she is the best!!!)

I just remembered that I absolutely would follow Debbie Macomber around like a dang puppy, but I couldn’t knock anyone off the list...Bonus! You got a top 11 list.

Here’s another one. It says “I’m watching you”
Here’s one that says “You’re not stalking me are you?”

Goodreads Summary:

By day, nineteen-year-old Maggie Lane is property manager of Pearl Estates, a posh housing community owned by her father and occupied by Shadows. By night, she's a waitress at a local dive. When a girl at her night job disappears, she dives into Scooby mode. She might be able to handle a missing waitress on her own, but when a new Shadow moves in next door and turns her into a blushing, flirting, love-crazed girl, her need for answers unearths nightmares from her past and monsters of the here and now. It's possible her bad attitude might not be enough to carry her through.

Series Cover Reveal Blog Hop and Giveaway: A Touched Girl by Robyn Jones

A Touched Girl Series Cover Reveal Blog Hop

Soul Walker and Soul Bender have brand new covers, and we are celebrating!

Published: December 9, 2012
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Goodreads Summary:
"I need to get you to the hospital." He was taking responsibility for me. Only my parents had that job. I stretched my hand out in protest, but the lack of depth perception had my trembling fingers grazing his overheated neck. I swore his whole body shook.

When five-year-old Anna Pierce is offered a chance to have nightmare-free nights for the small price of her voice, she jumps at it. Silence has to be better than all-consuming dreams about blood and death and fangy monsters. The bargain she strikes comes with a secondary benefit, visions of a person's future potential. The combination of visions and silence changes her very nature and soon she's diagnosed with autism. Twelve years of living in her head comes to a screeching halt the moment Peter Davis pulls her out of an icy river.

Her new life has her twirling, tiptoeing, and crashing through unfamiliar territory, one filled with a cranky grandma, a knocked up cousin, an unpleasant cousin, a bunch of mostly good vampires, and the boy who rescued her.

To top it all off, the deal she made at five is no more. Anna is expected to talk, to figure out her resurfacing nightmares, and to control her ever-growing powers. And she'd better get it done soon because if the good vamps want a piece of a living, breathing Touched girl, the evil ones simply want. They'll take Anna for their very own.
Soul Walker is the first book in the Touched Girl Series. It's approximately 91,000 words.

Published: March 11, 2013
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Goodreads Summary:
How much can a soul take before it breaks?

Anna Pierce has a vampire boyfriend, a driver's license, real friends for the first time since she was five, and now she faces one of her biggest challenges, senior year at a mostly all girls Catholic high school. Sure, she's a member of the talking crowd now, but she'll never be like everyone else. How can she when the first of her kind has camped out in her dreams?

Little dead girl Emily decides Anna's destiny can wait no longer. It's time for this generation's Touched girl to hunt. Trained in a virtual dream landscape to destroy all in her path, Anna must choose between her destiny, the one beat into her on a nightly basis, and her legacy, the one instilled in her by her parents.

Along the way, old enemies remain dutifully obsessed, new foes lurk in the shadows, and odd Little Duckie Anna Pierce sets out to be social.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Soul Bender by Robyn Jones

Top 10 favorite places

10. When I lived on Guam I made a trek to what I called the shrimp caves, only in Soul Walker they were called the God Caves. I wanted so badly to dive into the tubes that led to some unknown.

9. There's this hike in Hawaii I couldn't resist even with the flash flood warnings, the ten foot fence, and the “hike closed” sign posted right next to my usual spot for breaking and entering. The muddy hike led to a cold pool and waterfall.

8. Sandy's Beach in Hawaii hosts so many wonderful memories and only one bad one (tried to body surf...bad idea!)

7. Long Beach, WA remains my family's go-to escape during the summer

6. The aquarium in Sydney Australia. Wow!

5. The country roads leading to my late great aunt's farmhouse in Iowa. I love drawing that old barn with the stone foundation.

4. The Grand Canyon. Enough said (though I went before the awesome skywalk that feels like you're walking on air, looking straight into the desert abyss)

3. My grandparents' cemetery in Iowa. My grandma used to take us there all the time to visit my grandpa. We'd meander through the older section first.

2. The Southern part of Guam where I discovered my absolute love of coconut candy...OMG!

1. Any place where my boys are laughing with me!

About Robyn Jones

I'm the mom of two hardcore boys. My oldest trained me to be matter-of-fact, no frills. My youngest wants the whole singsongy sweet package. Thank goodness for reading and writing because they are my sanity makers. I know life is all about the journey, that's why I like my fiction to be all about the destination. I want to be taken somewhere not here when I read, same goes with the stories I create. Thrills, chills, tears, and laughter, but there has to be something to hold on to at the end.
