My Thoughts:
Anthologies are tricky things. With so many authors coming together, often on a similar theme as in this one, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes, it can be either a hit or a miss - you either love it or you hate it - or a combination of the two. Sometimes, it can be your first introduction to authors you didn't know, or it can be by authors you do know and read and that's why you picked it up in the first place. Such is the case with For the First Time for me. I wanted to read it because there were a few authors whose books I've read before and enjoyed, and also because the theme intrigued me. I wanted to see their interpretations of the "first time."
Let me start off by saying this book isn't just about the first time someone has sex, although there is that, too. It goes more along the theme of "there's a first time for everything." Like falling in love or getting married or even reconnecting with a first love. One of my favorites was about friends who have always loved each other more than that, but both assumed it was unrequited until she decided she couldn't take it any more and decided to make some changes - and he decided he didn't want those changes to be for someone else, but him.
All in all, this was a fun read and I was glad I read it. So if you're looking for some fun, sexy, quick-to-read love stories or want an introduction to authors you've never read before, then try this book - you're sure to find something in here that hits you just right and makes you want more. It did for me.
