Trailer

Excerpt

She was light in my arms, her head lolled over my bicep as I carried her with quick strides to the elevator. The metal rod I’d hit her with caused a knot to rise on the side of her head instantly. I crinkled my brows as I stared down at her beautiful face and the wave of her soft caramel hair, trying to reign in my anger.

The way she looked at him, cried for him, let his blood cover her…

It was too much.

She loved that man, but I was the only one allowed to have her heart.

Shoving the knife in his side, twisting it deeper while watching his eyes widen with fear was exhilarating, the best revenge I could get. The last kick to his temple to shut him up after I hit Jamie over the head had sealed the deal. He might have made it if he could have kept his mouth shut, but I doubted it. Watching the blood drain from his lifeless body after pounding him with my fist in the face felt too amazing.

That face kissed my woman. Probably in too many places. He had to die.

Count to ten.

Blowing air out, I’m brought back to the now, running through all the small details in my head. Jamie’s knocked out cold, but I couldn’t rely on that. She needed to be unconscious until we got home.

To our home.

I smiled as I gazed at her features, guilt filling me for not going with the original plan. The syringe was in my pocket, but as usual, my emotions had gotten the best of me.

Nathan Conklin.

He was always too close to her. Opening her door, setting his hand on the small of her back, staying at her place. I almost pulled out my 22 Glock from my holster hidden under my hoodie and shot the pretty boy right then and there.

When I first caught sight of her spending time with him, I thought they were merely work associates, but soon his car had been parked at the ramp of her condo to often.

Then one night the two of them were coming home from a night out, wrapped in each others arms. The dreamy look in her eyes as she pouted her lips, begging for him to kiss her, the red point of her heel rising as his arm snaked behind her back.

Red. I fucking hate that color.

My mother always wore red, and the deep hue made me grind my teeth.

Jamie knew I hated that color, but she never followed my rules.

Just like my mother.

And grandmother.

And grandfather.

But they weren’t an issue anymore.

Now I had Jamie. She was going to be mine for as long as we both lived, a promise I was planning to keep.

The rain poured down as I shoved the back fire exit door open with my shoulder, quickly finding my car. Using the window to help prop Jamie up, I opened the rear driver side door, then slid her inside as carefully as I could.

“We’re going to be so happy,” I whispered, running my hand through her hair and gently brushing the large egg on her head as I stroked her tender locks.

Slamming the door shut and clicking the lock button, I took one final glance around the back alley behind the Plaza Towers. No way my plan could be compromised, not at this point. I had too many situations, too many theories and reasons for my life to finally fall into place.

For our life to fall into place.

Water dripped from my hood as I moved to the outskirts of the alley, stepping one heavy boot one after the other. There was a piece of my plan, standing underneath an awning and rubbing her shoulders for warmth. A frown crossed my face as I walked faster to approach her.

“Why isn’t your hair down?” I hissed.

Her eye-roll peeved me, but I let it slide. I didn’t have much time. Pulling a car key from my pocket, I asked, “Did you get everything I sent?”

She nodded as she let the caramel tendrils of hair out of her ponytail. Worry filled her scowl. “When will I see you again?”

“I’m not sure. Did you understand the instructions?”

Her scowl deepened. “I’m not incompetent.”

She had that attitude that made me wild, just like my love in the back seat of my car. “I know. Now go.”

“But when will I see--”

“Shh. A man will meet you at the border. I’ll contact you as soon as I can.” She reached for me, but I grabbed her wrists before she could wrap them around my waist. “Go. There isn’t much time.” Her lip quivered slightly from the unknown, but softened once I stroked her cheek.

Her eyes longed for me as they gazed at my lips, but I took a step back, giving us some distance. Kissing her goodbye wasn’t part of the plan. She’d already touched me too many times. This body was Jamie’s now, not hers.

“Now go,” I commanded while stepping away. Her head dipped low as she crossed the street in the pouring rain to Jamie’s car, pointing the keys to unlock it. Once she was safely in the car and off in the right direction, I ran back down the alley to Jamie.

The car door creaked as I slid inside, followed by a loud boom of thunder. I checked my rearview mirror to see Jamie was still out. I’d have to sedate her when we got home. She didn’t need to be in pain from my fucked up judgment with the metal rod any longer than she had to be. Besides, I’d need a few more hours for everything to fall into place.

The tires squealed as I spun out of sight, leaving no traces of our whereabouts. I was an invisible man, and now Jamie was going to be my invisible woman.

“Let me give you kisses.”

She lifted a brow. Becca never believed me when I said her scent and taste turned me on more than anything. My hands found her wrists, traveling along her soft skin until I reached her biceps. I fluidly stood, pulling her completely upright with me. “You’re my favorite flavor, Becca.”

She blushed in response while I stepped completely free from my pants and boxer briefs then reached for Becca’s hand to guide her to our room. Once we found the bed, I spun her in her beautiful gown one last time. She giggled from the action, and the sound of her happiness made my heart melt.

My hands grazed her shoulders, and I used one hand to pull her hair off her neck, exposing her in an intimate way. I massaged gently, making her groan and move her head to the side. I intensified the pressure, causing her to hum in gratitude as my other hand found the clasp of her dress.

The intricate beading disguised the zipper well. Moving my hand from her neck, I traced my other finger down with the zipper. I was expecting a fancy corset, but the sight of her golden skin fueled the pumping blood in my veins even more. The zipper went lower than I’d expected, revealing silk boy short panties, the zipper stopping at the curve of her behind.

The white dress pooled at her feet. I stared in awe at the beautiful woman who was all mine. Her head peeked over her shoulder catching my gaze. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” I whispered, still standing with my hands to my sides. “And you were right, I like this garter much better.” The elastic was laced with silk, Mrs. Tyler Conklin written in script on the fabric. I felt primal and possessive seeing her branded with her new name, with my name.

She swiftly turned so she could face me, her hands finding the collar of my dress shirt. “I’m all yours,” she reassured. My buttons were slowly being undone by her finely manicured hands. Those eyes bore into my chest, the lust clear as her breath released faster with each button. She pushed my shirt off, making me completely bare to her. “And you’re all mine.” Her voice was raspy and possessive, and I was so incredibly turned on.

I tilted my head to find her mouth, gently stroking her lips with mine. Her mouth was an open invitation for my tongue, gliding with hers. Once her hands clung to my hair, I pulled away, gently grabbing her wrists. “Lay down, my gorgeous bride,” I commanded, motioning for her to step backward.

She compliantly obeyed, her body cautiously backing into the bed. She rested on her elbows, her confidence beaming as I took her in from head to toe. Her light brown curls fell gently to the tops of her luscious breasts. She thought they weren’t big enough, but they were full and perky, her nipples delicate and pink and budded to the occasion.

Then my eyes found her stomach. She worked so hard for the tender definition, yet still had the most banging curves and ass on the planet. Her legs were closed, showing her modesty, but began to open slightly from watching where I was focusing. Damn, talk about bringing a man to his knees.

I grasped her ankles, pulling her to the end of the bed. She giggled again, and I couldn’t help but sigh softly while kissing the inside of her thigh. Her giggles quickly faded, and I heard the bed creak as she squirmed.

Time to make my wife weak with pleasure.

Excerpt

I stroked the most delicate skin I had ever felt with my fingers as I lay on my side, staring at the woman I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

The fire was creating a soft glow on her tanned skin, her long eyelashes resting on her cheeks. A content and satisfied smile was on her face as she rested her head on her hands. Her dark brown hair had faded some from the Miami sun, and her natural hair color was starting to show through. It was pushed to the side and tucked behind her ear. I loved watching my Becca sleep after we made love.

What a sap I’ve turned into. Never did I think I would be content to actually spend time on a woman, cherish her body the way I cherished Becca’s. I had grown up an asshole with an icy heart, and my Becs swooped in and slowly melted it to the core, letting it beat strong and only for her.

Sure Margo was in the back of my mind, but once Becca and I connected, I knew I would never touch her ever again. My hands belonged on only one woman, and I planned on touching her greedily for as long as we both shall live. Maybe I could incorporate that into our vows.

I smirked at the thought. Vows… I really am a sap for thinking about vows.

By some miracle, my fucked-up family didn’t scare Becca away. RJ was a piece of work, and I wanted to rip his head off so badly every time I caught him glancing at Becca’s beautiful body. He would get that smutty look in his eyes, and I immediately wanted to deck the bastard. But for some reason, he backed off recently. My mother even called me before the Valentine’s Day fundraiser completely baffled because RJ had been coming home to her more often, and he rarely did that. He even wanted to spend time with her.

I honestly couldn’t give two shits what went on between my parents. While I was growing up they despised each other, and I never looked up to them for anything. I only looked up to my grandparents.

I wish they could have met Becs. They would have loved her.

I stroked Becca’s back again then kissed her forehead. I had to get up and use the restroom. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I pulled up the sheet, dropping some of the rose pedals in the process of covering her. The fire was warm, but the temperature was dropping. We were lucky enough to have the semi-nice weather for the evening, but as the sun went down, so would the temperature.

I grumbled when I went into the master bedroom. They hadn’t put in the toilet yet, fucking Mitch. Bastard never did anything right. I had to hound him every damn day to get this house done in the short amount of time. Breaking ground in the winter was a real bitch, but I wanted our house ready as soon as possible.

I knew I wanted Becca to be my wife after Christmas when she bravely showed herself to me. I had fallen in love with her mind and personality first. I always thought she was beautiful, but really getting to look at her, I knew I had to have her body as well. She had to be mine, forever and legally.

I finally found a working toilet in the bathroom off of the kitchen. Thankful they had turned the water on, I washed my hands. The water was freezing cold, and I couldn’t wait to get back by the fire and to my nice, warm Becs. Maybe she would be ready for round two. I never thought I’d be able to rally like I could with Becca. God she turned me on. I swiftly walked through the cooling house, glad I slipped on my boxer briefs. The last thing I needed to worry about was shrinkage, and the cold of the water on my hands wasn’t helping. I walked into the cutout where the Christmas tree would be placed to the curved glass door. I stopped in my tracks as I noticed something out of the corner of my eye when I looked at the fireplace.

I hadn’t seen the fireplace until tonight. Mitch was working on it this week, and those bricks looked awfully familiar. I slowly walked over, attempting to examine the bricks in the dim light from the candles outside. I was happy I put them in tall vases so the breeze from the water wouldn’t blow the flames out. Frustrated I couldn’t see, I ran outside to grab my phone, a small smile on my lips noticing that Becca hadn’t moved.

I loved fucking her into a coma.

I quickly went back inside, using the flashlight app on my phone to examine the bricks.

That fucker.

He used RJ bricks.

Now if it was just one, it would be different. I would understand. They really were useful. I could hide some cash and important papers like wills or birth certificates.

A marriage license.

God, I had turned into a real pussy.

I could recognize an RJ brick from a mile away, and this fireplace was filled with them. I knew where the little nub was that opened them. I touched it, fiddling, trying to get the damn thing to open. Once I did, fury swept over me with what I found.

Remembering that there were more bricks outside, I marched to the porch, searching frantically. They were everywhere. How did I not notice them outside?

I went to the fireplace by where my baby doll was sleeping, skimming my hands over the bricks.

Damn it.

Just as I was about to open one, the precious voice that had a spell on me said my name.

“Tyler? What are you doing? Come back here and keep me warm.” Her voice was low and raspy. When I turned around, she was sitting up, holding the blanket to her chest. She bit her lip in that provocative way, her head tilted to the side, hair mussed and sexy.

“Nothing, I was just checking the fire,” I lied, putting on my most believable smile.

I hated lying to her. But there were just some things she was better off not knowing. If she knew something, she would be involved and then she could get hurt. I wasn’t about to let anything happen to her. Ever.

Becca slowly pulled the sheet down, revealing herself. God I loved that she wasn’t afraid to be naked in front of me anymore. I would never tire from staring at her. Like the lap puppy I was, I crawled onto the wide lounger, devilish smirk in place and attacked her, ignoring that my dumbass brother just hid drugs all over Becca’s and my dream home.
