I should've never agreed to this arrangement... Thirty days ago, my boss--Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a "very generous" severance package. The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I've secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met. I definitely didn't need to think twice about this. I signed my name and started counting down the seconds to when I would never have to deal with his special brand of ass-holery again. I only made it to one minute... We argued the entire four-hour flight to his hometown, failed to make a convincing impression with the welcoming press, and right when I was about to knock that arrogant look off his face in real life? He purposely dropped his bath towel in front of me, distracting me with his nine-inch cock to "show me who the bigger person was" in our relationship. Then he gave me his trademark smirk once again and asked if I wanted to consummate our marriage. Tragically, this is only day one. We still have 29 more days to go...

My Thoughts:

Whitney G. is a new-to-me author and if this book is anything to go by, I will be checking out more from her. What can I say about this book? Oh, my gosh, so much! It was filled with interesting characters, a crazy situation and humor. I wasn't expecting that and yet, there were several times when I just laughed out loud because it was so funny. Maybe that had something to do with the narrators' delivery, I don't know, but whatever it was, I was hooked. Beginning to end, I just gobbled this thing up and wanted more! So good, I can't wait to go back and give it another listen. The chemistry between the characters leaps off the "pages" from the beginning even though it is buried under several layers of loathing, mostly on Emily's part. You see, her boss, Nicholas - or "the Wolf", as she likes to call him - is a very demanding boss and she is not too crazy about his demanding ways. She thinks he's an a**hole with control issues, so it's kind of surprising when she accepts his deal to land a client. And that's when the real fun begins. Especially when they have to make a trip to his hometown as part of the push to land said client. I won't give anything away here as it's best to just jump in and enjoy it yourself, but let's just say it is well worth the read - or the "listen", in this case. I will be reading more from this author in the future, I'm sure.
