SYNOPSIS
Dark and mysterious, Jaxon Reed is Lyla Scott’s living breathing sexualfantasy. There’s one problem, though. She’s with Kyle, the love of her life. She shouldn’t feel this way about anyone else, right?
But when disaster strikes with Kyle, she can’t help but wonder about Jax.
Lyla doesn’t usually do this, but could a steamy tryst be the answer to her heartbreak?
My Thoughts:
The one thing about serialized books is, sometimes, there's not a lot to go on. Such is the case with this book. Not a lot seemed to be going on, so it came off more as a day-in-the-life setup than an actual story. Jaxon was kind of intriguing, but Lyla was boring and her boyfriend was worse. The reason for him leaving her was pathetic and her reaction kind of out there. The one good thing about this book was that it was a quick read, but I don't know if it was enough to make me continue reading the series. I was kind of under-whelmed by it.
