Hey, guys. Dasha here. As the only human in these Bound by
Hades books—at the moment, anyway—Reese thought it might be fun for me to chime
in on all the supernatural romance going on in these books.
Before all this Shomrei
stuff started, I was the last person
on the planet to ever believe in the whole love-thing. Without going into my
messed up history on that topic (that’s a whole ‘nother book you’ll have to
wait for) I would have normally said Hellz to the NO on the whole love thing—especially
fated love. And even though Sadie and Yvonne are fated mates for Theo and
Justin…it isn’t love at first sight at all.
In book one, my BFF, Sadie, lays Theo flat on his ass. Oh
yeah, she can do that being a black belt. And Yvonne, in Marked by Hades, runs
away, totally ditching Justin. Then again, she’s totally attracted to him, but
if she touches him he’ll turn to dust, so there’s that whole issue…
Makes my head spin sometimes.
I love the idea that there could be someone out there just
for me. As the human in these stories, I’m not sure it’ll work that way for me
unless there’s a Shomrei that I’ll be marked for. But I’m not counting on it,
considering the odds that best friends both get Marked…
Then again, I might get marked for something else… **hint,
hint** but you’ll have to see what happens…
At first I was a little jealous of Yvonne. Don’t tell her
(hopefully she doesn’t read this), but I secretly hoped I’d be marked for
Justin. I mean, he’s all kinds of awesome. Big burly guy who’d stare death in
the face for you, but inside he has the heart of a big fuzzy teddy bear.
He might take a while to warm up to an idea—especially this
fated Mate stuff—but once he’s on board with something, watch out, he’ll defend
it with the wrath of a Shomrei Warrior for sure.
To be cherished like that…
Anyway. I’m starting to warm up to this whole fated Mates
thing, and I can only hope a Justin or Theo type guy out there for me.
Only maybe less fanged out and immortal…and maybe about
five-ten. I’ve always liked Amber eyes, too and the name—no, I better not spill
the beans.
